Terms and Conditions

In the spirit of good practice, when you purchase coaching services from Dennis Wagner, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the statements below and wish to proceed.

All coaching services and communication—email or otherwise—delivered by Dennis Wagner, as well as information on this website (storyboardcoaching.com), are intended to help you identify areas in your life and thinking that may be preventing you from experiencing greater well‑being and moving forward. Coaching is not a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care. Coaching is most effective when major emotional or psychological wounds are already healing or healed.

The term “coaching” includes life coaching, personal coaching, executive coaching, and business coaching.

Dennis continually strives to ensure the standard of service he provides remains excellent. At the end of the coaching process or series of sessions, clients may be asked to complete a feedback form.

I understand that the coaching services I receive from my Coach are not offered as a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health or medical conditions. I understand that my Coach is not acting as a mental health counselor or medical professional.

For legal purposes, I understand that coaching is currently an unregulated industry and that my Coach is not licensed by any U.S. regulatory body, even though sessions may take place in the United States.

I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for my well‑being during and after coaching sessions, including my choices and decisions.

I understand that coaching is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, or substance abuse treatment, and I will not use it in place of therapy.

I understand that all comments and ideas offered by my Coach are solely for the purpose of helping me achieve the goals I create with my Coach. I give informed consent for my Coach to assist me in achieving these goals and understand that results are not guaranteed.

I understand that if our work involves career or business matters, my Coach is not promising outcomes including, but not limited to, increased clientele, profitability, or business success.

I understand that my Coach will protect my information as confidential unless I state otherwise in writing. Exceptions include situations where I report child or elder abuse, neglect, or threaten harm to myself or others. In such cases, necessary actions will be taken and confidentiality will be limited. If my Coach is ordered by a court to provide information or testify, he will do so as required by law.

I understand that the use of technology is not always secure and I accept the risks associated with email, text, phone, Zoom, and other communication platforms.

I hereby release, waive, acquit, and forever discharge my Coach and any agents, successors, assigns, personal representatives, executors, heirs, and employees from any claim, suit, action, demand, or right to compensation for damages arising out of acts or omissions by myself or my Coach as a result of the coaching relationship.

I further declare that no promise, inducement, or agreement not expressed in this document has been made to me. This agreement shall bind my heirs, executors, personal representatives, successors, assigns, and agents.

The coaching schedule will be arranged between Dennis and the client and may be booked up to three months in advance. Dennis may recommend the frequency of sessions based on a professional assessment of the client’s needs. This recommendation is not binding and may be adjusted by mutual agreement.

The number and frequency of sessions will be agreed upon at the start of coaching and confirmed by email or written correspondence. Where no specific number is agreed, sessions will be provided on a session‑by‑session basis.

In return for fees paid by the client (or a third party acting on their behalf), Dennis agrees to provide coaching services in accordance with these terms. Participation in the first coaching session constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Sessions may be conducted face‑to‑face (venue by mutual agreement), via Zoom, or by telephone. Unless otherwise agreed, clients are responsible for calling Dennis at the scheduled time. Dennis will ensure he is available at the agreed time. Session length will be agreed before coaching begins.

Fees are based on Dennis’s current per‑session rate or package rate and will be confirmed in writing, usually by email. The number of sessions requiring advance payment will be agreed before coaching begins.

Dennis may agree to provide additional sessions after the initial set. These terms apply to all additional sessions. Fees remain the same unless Dennis provides written notice of a change.

Session dates and times will be agreed by phone or email and confirmed in writing. Sessions may only be rescheduled according to the “Rearranging Sessions” section.

Fees may be paid online via debit or credit card using Venmo or PayPal, or in person by cash. Fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed. Dennis is not obligated to provide a session if payment has not been received.

Where payment is required upon receipt of invoice, late payment charges may apply.

Dennis may assign tasks or exercises between sessions. Completion is optional but may impact progress.

Clients may contact Dennis between sessions for clarification or administrative matters. Additional coaching between sessions may incur additional fees, which will be disclosed in advance.

Clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule a session. No refunds will be given without 48 hours’ notice. In exceptional circumstances, Dennis may need to reschedule and will provide notice when possible.

Prepaid sessions must be used within six months or the fee is forfeited.

All personal or business information shared in coaching sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed without permission, except where required by law or necessary to prevent harm.

Dennis may terminate coaching early in exceptional circumstances such as illness, inappropriate behavior, conflict of interest, or other reasons. Clients will receive reasonable notice and a refund for unused prepaid sessions.

Dennis will work to help clients improve their quality of life and achieve desired outcomes. However, clients are solely responsible for decisions made during or after coaching. Dennis is not liable for any loss, financial or otherwise, or for perceived failure to achieve desired outcomes.

Changes to terms during an agreed initial session package must be mutually agreed and confirmed in writing. Otherwise, Dennis may change terms with one week’s written notice. Clients may withdraw immediately upon receiving notice and will receive a refund for unused prepaid sessions.

This contract is governed by the laws of the United States, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute related to the service or contract.
